First hydroplane flight to a ship

Hoisting the hydroplane

The USS Pennsylvania's crane hoists the Curtiss hyrdoplane to deck level. Curtiss has put his leg through the crane hook, to relieve his weight from the plane. Notice that every available spot was occupied by interested sailors, including the spar extending to the right.
